We are excited to offer a full-time position at the Bradley Street Location in the infant room. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a fun, experienced staff, with lots of opportunities to grow. The right individual will be enthusiastic, caring and possess a minimum of a high school diploma and early childhood education experience and/or 9 or more ECE credits, and be willing to work with members 6 weeks to 18 months.
Duties
Prepare Youth for Success
Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of early childhood outcomes:
- Organizes and maintains a developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive learning environment; ensuring a healthy, safe, clean environment both inside and out of the facility.
Provides nurturing routines such as diapering, dressing, and feeding infants.
Supervises sleeping infants.
Creates a dynamic, fun, creative, and interactive classroom experience.
Assesses member performance and progress to ensure that they are gaining new skills on a regular basis.
Provides guidance and role modeling to members.
Program Development and Implementation
1.Ensures the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis, including tracking outcome metrics; verifies that programs/activities respond to member needs and addresses their gender and cultural diversity.
2.Controls program and activity expenditures within the approved budget.
3.Oversees proper record keeping and weekly reporting, including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements, and any problems/issues.
4.Facilitates open and effective, professional verbal and written communication with families, staff, and children.
5.Supervises teacher aides in the classroom and ensures that they are following program policy and service expectations.
6.Increases visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events through different social media channels, parent emails, etc.
Requirements
? High school diploma and a minimum of 9 credits in child development and/ or early childhood education, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university.
? Must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of 1,500 hours working in a school age licensed program.
?Knowledge of child development and the latest educational theories and practices.
?Ability to motivate members and manage behavior problems with patience.
?Ability to communicate with parents/guardians.
?Ability to plan and implement quality programs; proven track of having creative and artistic teaching abilities.
?Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
?Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications in order to meet Bureau of Childcare licensing requirements.
?May be required to drive Club van/short bus periodically.
?Must possess a safe driving record and submit a copy of such record to either the Operations Director or Human Resources department.
?May be required to assist in cleaning and organizing the Club.
?Must be willing to travel between locations when requested. (Only occasional travel is required)
?All of the candidates that are offered a job with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire will have to submit for an FBI fingerprint background check and submit to a background check through the State of NH Criminal Records Dept. and FirstAdvantage. Note: The State of NH Childcare Licensing Bureau may prohibit you from being employed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire should there be a disqualifying finding on your criminal record. In addition, even if the State of NH reviews your records and allows you to work at the Club, we still reserve the right to determine your employment status.
