Your Job

Execute the strategy and product development vision for Vehicle Antenna Systems within the North American automotive industry. This is an opportunity for someone with a technical education and a history of independent action to get experience on the commercial side of the business while capitalizing on their technical abilities.

Our Team

You’ll be a key contributor to the product management team that is responsible for responding to customer quotes and ensuring the long-term financial success of the largest supplier of automotive antennas in the US. We have a positive team atmosphere and in the Grand Blanc office where you’ll be working closely with experienced professionals in various engineering disciplines (RF, electrical circuits, mechanical and manufacturing) as well as purchasing, manufacturing, program management and quality. It’s an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizons across new products and domains.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in quoting efforts as the technical liaison with engineering.
    • Coordinate Customer Tech Reviews with engineering.
      • Lead pre-reviews.
      • Generate exceptions list.
      • Summarize product performance.
    • Compare and contrast specifications across quotes.
    • Understand and vet the values from purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering.
      • Investments
      • Variable Costs
    • Support financial models.
    • Facilitate teardowns / benchmarking.
      • Coordinate (potentially conduct tests) and evaluations.
      • Prepare reports.
    • CROSS POLLINATE: Support international collaboration and apply best ideas across regions.
    • Promote communication.

  • General administrative work as required for the role.
  • Position is located in Grand Blanc MI. In order to support casual and formal collaboration, you will work on-site for the majority of the week. There will be collaboration with EU (as early as 7am) and Asia (as late as 10pm) but those hours can be used to offset on site time [i.e., take Friday afternoon off].
  • Occasional travel includes Mexico: 1-2x/year and trip to EU or Asia every 2-3 years

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Field. Mechanical Engineering or RF Electrical is preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant experience as an engineer responsible for the detailed design of a product that went into high volume production.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and solve problems by providing successful solutions.
  • Experience doing presentations on projects and reporting out to all levels.
  • Successful experiences in these areas via professional or extra-curricular activities:
      • Entrepreneurship
      • Leadership
      • Organization / Program management
      • Communication – both verbal and written
  • Desire to learn and an interest in advanced telecommunications technologies (5G FR1, High Precision GNSS, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, CV2X)
