The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.” WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.


The WPAOG is seeking an Association Administrative Officer who is a salaried executive on the President & Chief Executive Officer’s (CEO) staff of the Association of Graduates at West Point. This position reports directly to the WPAOG’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) & Association Secretary.


The Association Administrative Officer supports the President & CEO and COO & Association Secretary in their management of selected governance, administrative, and programmatic processes. The Association Administrative Officer is the recording secretary for the Board of Directors and for the Advisory Council. He or she performs editorial reviews of selected correspondence and other high-level communications.


In support of the CEO and the COO, the Association Administrative Officer assists in the management of the Annual Election process and in the preparations for and conduct of the Annual Meeting; he or she also assists in developing the Association’s annual calendar and in developing recommended WPAOG committees. The incumbent may also serve as project manager for selected initiatives and programs, as well as secretary for selected WPAOG Committees and Board-appointed task forces. In addition, the incumbent will direct the WPAOG Fallen Graduates Memorial Scholarship Program.


A Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of significant leadership or higher-level staff experience is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. A USMA graduate or recent member of the USMA staff and faculty who is also familiar with WPAOG organization, with USMA organization, and with Department of Defense organization is preferred. This individual should have experience in coordinating the actions of a military or corporate staff and possess editor-level writing and proofreading skills. In addition, they should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint . We offer excellent benefits and a pleasant working environment.
