A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUDIT MANAGER

As an audit manager, you spend much of your time managing client audit engagements while delivering high-quality service. You serve as an intermediary between partners and clients. Cultivating quality relationships and strengthening existing relationships with clients is where you excel.

You enjoy planning and managing audit engagements. Working with clients, you determine a timeline for projects and manage staff to ensure timely completion. With attention to detail, you review workpapers closely and resolve issues quickly. You keep the partner informed of important developments throughout the engagement as well as managing project budgets, preparing billing, and assisting with collections. Your financial and analytical skills allow you to take tasks head-on as you anticipate client needs. You proactively seek opportunities to provide additional services, adding value to each client we serve.

You coach, advise, and support team members, and they look to you for guidance. A true leader, you provide consistent recognition and encouragement. In doing so, you successfully build and maintain a motivated and empowered work team. You are always willing to take on leadership roles to support our company goals, including presenting at firm seminars and networking events. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUDIT MANAGER

• A financial degree or accreditation in accounting, finance, or similar
n
• Audit experience
n
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting
n
• An active CPA license or equivalent certification
n
• Strong client relationship and project management skills
n
