A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUDIT SENIOR

As an audit senior, you spend much of your time leading our clients' audit engagements. You plan, coordinate, and supervise the various phases of an audit engagement as well as manage engagement time. Meticulously, you review financial statements, ensuring their accuracy.

A natural leader, you supervise staff and advanced staff accountants. You delegate responsibilities and tasks, making sure to balance the workload and enable our accounting team to complete the work required within the agreed time frames. You proactively seek to provide feedback to staff through timely performance evaluations. With attention to detail, you review work papers to ensure quality, thoroughness, and accuracy. You have the opportunity to participate in firm initiatives including firm resource groups, social events, and recruiting/marketing events. You also have the opportunity to present and speak at various seminars and lunch and learn events.

You lead your team by example as you engage with clients. You seek to identify needs in order to enhance our ability to provide exceptional service. You're quick to catch any risk management issues as well as opportunities for improvement. As you work with clients to resolve issues, anticipate and handle potential problems, and identify solutions, you gain the trust of our clients and enhance our relationships with them. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUDIT SENIOR

• Ability to meet the minimum education requirements for sitting for the CPA exam
n
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting
n
• Proficiency using Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
n
• Working knowledge of firm technology, including firm engagement management, tax preparation, and time/billing software
n
• Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple people
n
