Responsibilities:

• Set up mechanical, hydraulic, or electric test equipment in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, or test procedures.
• Ensure fixtures for the parts, measurements, and pictures are appropriate.
• Monitor machine-controlled test equipment to ensure test is performing as expected; document when unexpected activity occurs.
• Ensure test results are complete and accurate.
• Document and report all defects or malfunctions.
• Inspect or test parts to determine nature or cause of defects or malfunctions.
• Document test results using cameras, spreadsheets, forms, or other tools
• Preparation of test parts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with technical curriculum
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory or equivalent related work experience (preferred)
• Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred)
• Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions, and basic electronics (preferred)
• Ability to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends (as needed)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Analytical, observant, patient, and communicative to handle the precise nature of the work
• Ability to Identify complex problems and review relevant information to develop evaluation options and implement solutions.
