*Remote position with 50-60% travel to sites in the Domestic US*

We are seeking qualified applicants for the role of Automation Platform Technician supporting the operation of automated guided vehicles across the entire Georgia Pacific manufacturing network. These positions will be a part of a dynamic work team and report to the Automation & Robotics Center of Excellence team. This team services all geographic regions across the country. We are expecting the roles to reside in Atlanta, GA or within 1 hour from downtown metro area.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Work across multiple manufacturing facilities to support Georgia-Pacific's automated guided vehicles (AGVs)
• Remote monitoring of facilities AGV systems operational performance
• Perform regularly scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGVs
• Support various manufacturing facilities operation and automation technicians in issue resolution
• Perform supplemental training for automation technicians

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Technical Degree or higher in maintenance, electronics, megatronics, or engineering OR working experience and/or classroom training of working experience in electrical motors, PLC operation, bearings, belts, and drives
• Experience in operations and equipment maintenance or manufacturing engineering
• Ability to learn specific skills required to maintain and operate Automated Guided Vehicles
• Willing and able to communicate with all levels of the organization (i.e., via reports, e-mail, verbally, and/or in small/large group settings) in a team environment
• Willing and able to travel approximately 50-60% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with maintenance of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV’s) and Laser Guided Vehicles (LGV’s)
• Experience supplying service across multiple locations
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques
