We are seeking a dedicated Bank Growth Engine Director, Technical Product Management to lead and direct a team responsible for developing technical requirements and testing of bringing personalized and data-driven bank product campaigns/programs to market in a legally compliant and efficient way, via the Bank Growth Engine (BGE).

This position is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Colorado Springs, CO; Tampa, FL; Chesapeake, VA. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.

You will lead the technical aspects of complex and highly strategic projects to ensure design, requirements, and execution are on track for successful delivery. The team, comprised of Technical Product Managers and Testing Specialists, works closely with business and technology leaders to lead and understand risks and impacts of changes, and partners in decision making within an Agile environment.

You will have a strong partnership focus, understanding how to succeed and deliver in a highly matrixed organization. You will partner with and engage senior leaders/collaborators to ensure BGE is aligned to and influences the Bank’s objectives and overall business strategy.

The Opportunity

What You'll Do:
Drives and leads platform capabilities and roadmaps in accordance with marketing plans and priorities to drive a unified technical roadmap.

Identifies technical requirements for delivering existing and new campaigns and creates backlog of epics/stories for scrum teams to action.

Directs change management, process improvement, technical troubleshooting, and innovation work across multiple stakeholder groups.

Assesses gaps in campaign delivery and contributes to technical feasibility sessions in executive and key stakeholder sessions.

Continually grooms prioritized campaigns.

Iteratively improves marketing, delivery, fulfillment etc. platforms and processes.

Ensures current solution functionality and integrations continuously meet and exceed business partner needs.

Works with other teams (Data/Analytics) to deliver and improve technology-dependent information and processes (report building, content changes, etc.).

Stays abreast of latest MarTech technology updates, changes, community, and practices.

With peer leader and stakeholders, drives capacity planning efforts for agile teams.

Ensures execution of efforts is aligned with corporate strategies, plans and initiatives.

Identifies and leads existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.

Follows written risk and compliance policies, standard, and procedures for business activities.

Creates successful stakeholder collaborations business leaders and IT by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as trusted advisor, and ensuring delivery of new solutions is in-line with business needs.

Leads day to day activities of the Technology Product Management team and actively leads resources to ensure optimal efficiency and effective delivery.

Assists team in driving product/capability solution sessions and drives cross-functional teams to make key decisions by using their knowledge of the current technology and business constraints.

Develops team strategies and roadmaps that align with strategic business objectives and ensures team have detailed objective goals.

Applies line of business expertise in innovative technology domains to help drive solutions that align with bank strategy.

Improves the business outcomes of the team by injecting strategic and innovative thinking in business and technology solutions.

Builds and supervises a team of Technical Product Managers through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching, and support activities.

What You'll Have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

8 years in a technical product development role, such as technical product manager, software engineer, development manager, business analyst, or architect that includes experience in agile, innovation, problem solving, analytics and system design/ownership.

3 years of direct team lead, or management experience.

Ability to drive design standards and best practices among peers in and out of your direct organization.

Understands the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and supports the development of requirements, documentation, testing, and post-launch validations of solutions.

Proven track record to identify complex problems and synthesize information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.

Ability to analyze a legacy system and build a business case to modernize.

Deep knowledge of business domain laws and regulations.

Ability to recommend solutions and prioritize efforts using data and the business case developed within your team.

Ability to work within an agile framework and mentor team on project management/agile best practices.

Excellent communication and presentation skills and demonstrated leadership and ability to influence peers and leaders without formal authority.

What Sets You Apart:
Advanced knowledge of MarTech ecosystem, platforms, and technology.

Advanced experience in program management and execution experience in a large-scale organization.

Extensive knowledge and experience of program management methodology (Specifically SAFe Agile).

SAFe Agile Certification

US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $132,500-$253,220 .
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
