Founded in 1960, Wildwood Golf Club is a well-established, family-oriented country club which caters to a diverse membership of 530-member families. Located 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, the club features a wonderfully maintained Emil Loeffler designed golf course and practice facility, tennis facility and swimming pool complex. The club's operating budget is over $4 million with $1.7 million in food and beverage revenue. The club operates under the General Manager/ Chief Operating Officer concept.

Wildwood Golf Club has earned a reputation for providing excellent food and service in hosting special occasions and spectacular events. We are seeking a professional Private Events Manager to continue the tradition of excellence at Wildwood Golf Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and preparation of events and catering, while working with our proven management team to deliver expectations our members and guests expect and deserve from Wildwood Golf Club.

Requirements:

- Successfully coordinates the vision of Club members and guests who are planning private parties through email, written communications, telephone, and face to face meetings.

- Obtains pertinent information from member/guest including number of persons expected, seating arrangements, decorations, music and entertainment.

- Give tours to member/guest throughout our facilities offering suggestions, while selling the merits of the Club facilities for any occasion.

- Initiates all contracts, handles deposits, billing, and develops Function Sheets for distribution to the management team and the client.

- Assists the host to plan menus in conjunction with the Executive Chef.

- Helps with the development of catering menus, special event menus and seasonal offerings while also promoting Catering Sales to the general membership.

- Inspects final arrangements and adds final touches to ensure guest satisfaction.

- Will be present to greet member/guests and will oversee the service of the event.

- Coordinates and assists in room set-ups, audio visual requirements, entertainment requirements, etc. for all events.

- Supervise, train, mentor, and coach banquet staff for the efficient operation of the Club’s banquet department.

- Clearly communicate, assign, and delegate responsibility and authority for the service of catered events to banquet service staff promoting teamwork.

- Candidate will be required to assist in the A la Carte dining operations as needed.
