Asheville Dispensary is on the hunt for a superstar bar manager to join us at our brand-new Herbal Elixir and Tea Bar in Chattanooga. Our new location is situated in a lively part of town where locals and tourists alike will be flocking.

As the non-alcoholic beverage scene booms, we're here to create a space where people can have a blast without the booze. We're an independently-owned cannabis, plant medicine shop, herbal bar, and community wellness lounge that exists to make people feel better and live healthier lives. And that's where you come in!

We need a dynamic personality to keep our bar running smoothly, and to lead our fantastic team in crafting artisanal herbal elixirs, coffee/espresso drinks, tea, boba & mocktails from our award-winning selection (seriously, check out our menu at avldispensary.com). Plus, you'll have the chance to create your very own specialty drinks each month and coordinate in-house events.

As our bar manager, you'll also manage our herbal apothecary section and support customers on the retail cannabis side by answering questions related to plant components and the crossover between cannabis and other plant medicines. We want someone who's passionate about plants and wants to grow with us to help guide our bar's evolution into an even more inviting, interesting, and delicious place for people to enjoy.

You will receive a solid base pay plus tip share and get access to kind perks, opportunities for advancement, and more. To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you should have at least two years of managerial experience, be self-motivated, outgoing, personable, and a fast learner with excellent communication skills. We're looking for someone who's detail-oriented, energetic, customer oriented, organized, responsible, trustworthy, and productive, and who has at least two years of bartender, barista, and/or tea server experience.

Requirements:

• Seeking a team player with a positive attitude, who is enthusiastic about helping people and is committed to growing with our company long-term.
• Two years of experience in a managerial role required.
• Looking for a self-motivated, outgoing, and personable leader who can work collaboratively with others.
• Must be a fast learner with excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, organized, responsible, trustworthy, and productive.
• Two or more years of experience in bartending, barista work, or serving tea is preferred.
• Must have familiarity and experience with plant medicine/herbalism.
• Knowledge of cannabis/hemp plants and THC/CBD products is a major plus.
• Social media, photography, design, or copy skills are highly desirable.
• Ability to regularly train and educate other staff members and customers.
• Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools is required, and the ability to learn our POS/inventory systems.
• Must have open availability, including availability for nights and some weekends.
