Purpose
Your primary function as a bartender is to take drink orders, prepare mixed drinks and deliver basic service to patrons at the bar.

Essential Job Functions
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Extend a warm and friendly greeting to all guest.

• Explain menu items and answering product question as raised by guest.

• Take food and drink orders from guest accurately and with a positive attitude

• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers

• Maintaining a clean bar

• Setting up/breaking down the bar for their shift

• Relaying the correct order to kitchen personnel or staff

• Engage with guest in a friendly manner

• Delivering food and drinks to guest in a timely manner

• Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons

• Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations

• Collect payments from guest/Cashing out servers at the end of their shift

• Properly checks ID’s for any guest purchasing alcohol to confirm they meet the legal drinking age

• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

• Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.

• Must follow the guidelines stated in the grooming standards policy

• Communicate openly, timely and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress and problems.

• To always be approachable, coachable and have a good positive attitude

• Completing all side work which includes various cleaning, busting tables, rolling silver, etc.

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance

• Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:

o Walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

• Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for:

o Making observations

o Communicating with others

o Reading and writing
