Job Summary:
The Bartender will prepare and/or serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to our Private Dining members and waitstaff. Collect any money or apply to appropriate member account for drinks served.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receives orders from dining members and waitstaff.
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks in a timely manner.
• Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized, and well-organized stocked bar.
• Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
• Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
• Collects payments and operates POS system for drinks and / or food served following company established cash handling policies and procedures for all transactions; secures all monies at the end of each shift.
• Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of Beer, Wine and Spirits as well as their preparation and presentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to interact with private dining members and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
• Ability to learn POS software used by bar or restaurant.
• Some craft cocktail knowledge required.
• Hard working attitude and an impressive team player.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Must be over 21 and have a current Alcohol Awareness card and Health card.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
