Bartender - El Coyote Job at El Coyote Bar & Cantina
El Coyote New Mexican Bar & Cantina (opening soon!) is a late night, bar driven nod to Northern New Mexico in both cuisine and atmosphere. El Coyote is excited to be a part of the growing Britton District and looking for a strong opening team for this exciting new concept!
Position: Bartender
Schedule: Full-time, open for evenings/late night only + Sunday brunch.
Pay: 5.50/hr plus tips, averaging $25-35 or more per hour. Higher hourly rate available for experienced bartenders interested in key holder responsibilities.
Benefits: several paid federal holiday closures throughout the year, and health/dental insurance available, to all full-time employees.
Duties:
- Prepares alcoholic beverages for servers and guests at the bar
- Prepares consistent beverages following recipes in a timely manner
- Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures
- Understand and provide information to guests regarding all menu items available
- Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests
- Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar
- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Passion for food, cocktails and ensuring an excellent experience for all guests
- Energetic and genuine positive attitude while interacting with team-members and all guests
- Knowledge of how to make common drinks and the ability to follow the recipe for new drinks
- Excellent communication skills with guests and team-members
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30+ pounds repetitively
- Be able to work full shifts in a standing position
