Stories bartenders are responsible for submitting guest drink selections and presenting these beverage preferences timely and tailored to the guests’ preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our beverage, cocktail and wine offerings. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. Bartenders engage in casual conversation and enhance the experience by their style and service attributes. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Stories is a chef driven specialty restaurant. This is a fast paced position with constant customer interaction. Prior bartending experience in a fine dining, specialty or chef driven restaurant is required.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have full availability in evenings with a call time of 3:30p-4:00p
• Must be available weekends and holidays
• 2-3 years of bartending experience in a fine dining restaurant or specialty restaurant required
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Extensive wine and spirit knowledge required
• TABC certification is required.
