POSITION OVERVIEW

To serve our guests in the Nobu style and to ensure their dining experience is a smooth and memorable experience. To impart the knowledge of our product to the guest in the way you have been trained. To pay attention to the minutest of details during the course of the guest’s time with you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Set up and break down the bar.
• Make beverages for guests in the Nobu style as trained.
• Full knowledge of the Nobu cocktails, wines and sakes.
• Make suggestions for our guests while accommodating likes, dislikes, allergies and price requirements into a family style of dining that represents Nobu as a chef where applicable.
• Setup, clear and help maintain tables in the bar.
• Complete opening and closing side work.
• Re-stock and ensure the bar is kept in a fit manner.
• Inform the bar manager of any items that are running low.
• Order product for the next sift where necessary.
• Possess extensive and correct knowledge of menu and non-menu items, their ingredients and sauces.
• Verify identification and age requirements of customers.
• To comply with all Health, Safety, and Fire Safety procedures and to attend all compulsory trainings.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 1-5 years’ experience preferred
• Food Handlers card or obtain within 30-days of hire date.
• Responsible Beverage Service certification or obtain within 60-days of hire date.

• Micros POS system preferred, but not required.
• Time clock/Mobile time clock

The position entitles flexible working hours and will include nights, weekends and major holidays.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to indoor and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot, wet, or humid conditions. Requires extended work hours, weekends, and some holidays as needed for special projects/events. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
