JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to online inquiries from customers looking to sell vehicles to the dealership.

• Establish contact with customers and set appointments for vehicles to be appraised.

• Inform the seller what documents/ paperwork/ potential payments may be required to complete the transaction.

• Completing all paperwork necessary to facilitate the purchase of the vehicle

• Maintain customer contact and records within the CRM

• Responsible for ensuring vehicle inspections are completed on all potential purchases and accurate data processed within the trade appraisal tool.

• Verify the condition of the vehicle matches the description submitted.

• Input vehicle data into inventory management software for appraisal.

• Run vehicle CARFAX.

• Review vehicle history/vehicle service history.

• Must follow up on checks owed to customers after the transaction has been completed to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Call lien holders and obtain vehicle payoff information.

• Verify title status for all vehicles prior to being purchased.

VEHICLE ACQUISITION PROCESS

• Set an appointment with the incoming lead

• Meet and greet guests. Thank them for taking the time and making them aware that it is your responsibility to assure they receive the max value from KBB.

• Sit down with guests and have them pull up/forward you the KBB ICO.

• Ask guests for keys to the vehicle and have them go out with you to match the condition report submitted.

• Scan vehicle into vAuto appraisal tool. Start the vehicle and enter miles.

• Go around the entire car with the customer, open the hood/trunk/doors, check the tire tread depth, check the windshield for any chips/cracks, check for any damage/dings/dents on body panels + headlamps/tail lamps (Devalue vehicle in this step)

• Enter the vehicle with the customer looking for any physical damage such as rips/tears in the interior including the headliner.

• Turn on A/C and the heater to ensure it is working properly.

• Assure radio/multimedia is working properly.

• Open, close, and tilt the sunroof if applicable.

• Open and close all windows to assure they are working properly

• Walk guests inside and make them aware that you will be road testing the vehicle at this point.

• Road test looking for abnormal sounds from the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, and steering column.

• Return and input condition report into appraisal tool.

• Meet with the used car manager to determine vehicle value.

• Present the customer with an offer and gather proper documentation from the customer to finalize the purchase.

• Return to the used car manager with a deal jacket completed/signed by the customer. Include check requests.
