Position Overview:
Responsible for maintaining the various corporate processes across HR Operations, including, but not limited to administering the benefits, Leave of Absence, disability and Worker’s Compensation, training, policy implementation and employment law compliance in alignment with the Manager, HR Operations role.
Essential Job Functions:- Ensures that all HR Operations processes meet departmental and organizational goals in accordance with all federal guidelines and regulations.
- Maintains the day-to-day aspects of health/welfare, retirement, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA and customer service support.
- Partners with the Manager, HR Ops to maintain vendor relationships and support vendor-related projects.
- Collects feedback throughout the year to make recommendations on benefit plan revisions and initiatives as part of annual enrollment preparation.
- Oversee the calculation of wages, payments and deductions to ensure compliance with organizational pay programs and Federal and state regulations
- Supports the review of vendor performance; vendor contracts and compliance.
- Identifies trends and develops recommendations to mitigate benefit cost increases.
- Develops employee-facing communication materials including benefit / open enrollment communications, total reward updates / communications, wellness opportunities, etc.
- Administers the Leave of Absence program for employees across multiple States, in accordance with all State and Federal regulations. Interprets policies and procedures related to leaves.
- Audits, reviews and reconciles benefit reports with vendors and internal partners
- Build cross-functional relationships to maintain active and appropriate communication with facility and regional management, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting and other stakeholders as needed
- Continuously monitor procedures and payments for compliance, oversee audits, and identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline, required
- Minimum of three years’ professional experience with focus on Payroll, Benefits / Total Rewards required; Experience overseeing Leave of Absence, 401K programs and Wellness Program a plus
- CEBS or CBP designation, preferred
- Experience negotiating with providers and vendors, preferred
- Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
- Strong demonstrated proficiency in Workday preferred
- Strong demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products required, including intermediate or higher Excel, Word, & Power Point
