BHT for Residential Treatment Program
Seeking passionate and experienced individuals to work directly with males between the ages of 8-14 yo at a residential home. The boys in the home are in foster care and are part of a treatment program that requires individuals with past experience working with children and youth who have experienced trauma. This residential home requires individuals who are able to build relationships with the boys while also providing a safe environment through structure and predictable routines. It is recommended that Individuals have prior experience redirecting youth with aggressive behaviors along with experience documenting incidents and administering medications properly. The residential home is one a larger piece of property and close to community parks and recreational centers that allow staff to create fun and active experiences with the youth in the home.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Minimum 2 year of experience with working with youth.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with working with children/youth with trauma.
- Related training to trauma informed care
- Must be flexible
- Must have reliable transportation and means of communication
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card from Arizona Department of Public Safety
- Must have a valid AZ Driver’s License with safe driving record
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook
- Must display and uphold Ohana company values at work and on any social media platform
- Minimum training required: Prevention & Support/CPI, CPR, & First Aid (Ohana can assist with acquiring these required trainings)
