BI/Web Developer Senior to Lead Job at Progressive

As a business intelligence developer senior or lead on our Claims Control team, you’ll provide technical expertise and guidance to provide platform-level decisions for high-quality, low-cost solutions. You’ll work alongside IT experts and business representatives to ensure the feasibility and maintainability of technical solutions. In this role, you’ll guide platform level software development activities, mentor technical resources, and serve as a subject matter expert for platform level BI technology topics. Additionally, you’ll share technical expertise and helps influence short and long-term platform level solutions and approaches to meet business needs.

Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of two years designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years related work experience with working knowledge of designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications.
Preferred skills
- Proven web development with ASP.net MVC and web design with SVG/CSS/HTML5/Data Visualizations
- Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript ES6 concepts and use within a modern JavaScript-based framework (Angular, React, Vue). Plus, experience with single page application development with custom JavaScript
- Demonstrated expertise in server-side programming (Node, C#, Java, Python). OOP experience is a plus. Also cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google)
- Experience with entity framework building robust data models. Experience with SQL database technology. Familiarity with ERD design and modeling in distributed systems
- The ideal candidate will have experience developing database architectures for large scale applications, along with database performance tuning
Compensation
- $74,900 - $120,700/year depending on position level and experience
- Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
