Position Summary

We are currently seeking a bindery operator with knowledge of operating and servicing bindery equipment. This person must be mechanically minded to be able to make minor adjustments while running the equipment. This position would report directly to the production supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Machine setup and operation
• Constantly monitor quality of finished product
• Be responsible for general maintenance of machines
• Assist with housekeeping of the bindery area (maintain a clean work environment)
• Follow all safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisor
• Attention to detail
• Extensive knowledge of setup, running and general maintenance of all large format bindery equipment
• Operate equipment; including but not limited to Polar automated cutting system, Heidelberg Stitchmaster ST400, Stahl and MBO folders
• Required to regularly stand and use hands
• Must be able to regularly lift at least 25 pounds; but up to 50 pounds
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• English speaking; with ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and correspondence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three to five years related experience

Salary info:
