You will be communicating and working daily with our creative and marketing teams, and indirectly with real estate top producers who are the best at what they do. And You will be part of the key team that’s crafting the public’s view of our company through exceptional and creative content co-creation.

We are seeking a motivated and savvy content editor to join our marketing department in a fast-paced but fun and supportive work environment. You will work directly with the Director of Content, SEO Manager, Social Media Manager, Video Editor and a team of writers and designers to develop and execute compelling and engaging digital content for our audiences across several platforms.

Your primary duties will include content assignment and tracking, first-pass editing of various copy types for clarity, facts and keywords, and proofreading.

To excel in this role, you will have experience in developing, writing, and editing content, with SEO experience, and ideally, knowledge in the content spheres of real estate, lifestyle, luxury products/demographics and knowledge of Miami.

Of course, as an editor, we expect excellent communication and organizational skills. A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, media or a related field is a must. Knowledge of various content management systems and blog posting with images a plus. There is room to grow in this position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the entire content marketing team and coordinate with freelance contributors.
• Edit and proofread for spelling, grammar and syntax, audience, context and goals of content.
• Ensure that content meets the company or client's needs, and follows our in-house style guide.
• Organize, modify and update existing content.
• Verify content and information.
• Work with the graphic design team to ensure a user-friendly experience.
• Manage a busy workload according to deadline.
• Participate with the SEO manager for the review of data and analytics, and seek to increase reader engagement and retention.
• Knowledge of SEO and industry best practices.
• Proof social media captions and copy.
• Set up and send weekly and monthly Mailchimp newsletters (will train if not familiar with Mailchimp)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, media or related field.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• At least 3 years of copy editing, writing, and proofreading experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient in desktop publishing software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Social Media platforms.
• Content knowledge in fields of luxury, real estate, lifestyle and/or Miami.
• Experience writing and editing scripts a strong plus.
• Spanish language proficiency also a plus.
