Job Title: Boiler Room Mechanic

Immediate Supervisors: Kevin Popo

Job Description: Glen Mills Schools is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated individual who is capable of performing daily maintenance of pressure vessels and boilers year round for our campus operations.

Scheduled Hours & Days: The Boiler Room Mechanic schedule will be a full time, 5 days per week position. The employee must attend mandatory organizational training when scheduled.

Start Date: Immediate

Posting end date: when position is filled

Degree/Credentials Required: High school diploma or equivalent. The applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.

Essential Skills Required/Including but not limited to:

• understanding of the operation of boilers and pressure vessels
• mechanical abilities with job related tools
• proper use of hand tools
• ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• ability to fulfill the physical demands of the job
• availability to work a rotating/varying schedule

Additional skills that may be helpful:

• ability to work independently
• ability to work in a team environment
• excellent communication and recording skills

Starting Salary/Rate: Full-Time Salary position. Compensation commensurate with experience. The position includes health insurance, dental insurance, prescription plan, 401k plan and paid vacation after the employee has completed a successful 90 day probationary period.
