Project Umami is looking for a reliable, friendly, and outgoing team leader to manage our stand at the Highlands (Denver) on Sunday. This job is for you if you are reliable and would love to promote and sell awesome soy-free, fresh-frozen tempeh unlike any other tempeh in the grocery store! You will also sell a variety of miso pastes!

We are a tempeh producer in Boulder and we will happily train the right person. Shift starts each Saturday at 6.30 am and goes to approximately 3 pm (it is also possible to pack the coolers Friday afternoon and arrive at the facility in Boulder with a slightly later start time). You will drive to the market, set up the display, cook samples on a frying pan using an induction burner or gas cooktop, sample cooked tempeh, sample miso, talk about the products and company with customers, sell the products and then help take down the display. After the market is over you will return to he facility in Boulder to place unsold product back in the freezer. Optional additional hours are available.

It is important that you are interested in learning about our company and our tempeh & miso so that you can talk to customers about our products. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced yet friendly environment and interacting with customers.

We are hiring for the below farmer's market position in the following order:

1. Denver (Highlands) Sunday (June 5 - Sept 25)

2. Boulder on Wednesdays (May 3 - Oct 4)

Farmer's Market Managers receive 100% of the tip. It averages 4-6$/hour.

Essential Work Skills:

Must have a drivers license.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours a day).

Effective oral communication skills and the ability to work as a team player.

Strong interpersonal skills
