SUMMARY

Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
• Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
• Drives truck to the customer destination.
• Maintains electronic truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact when permitted with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Loads and unloads truck.
• Performs required inspections on truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Performs routine repairs such as installing light bulbs, tire chains, spark plugs, etc.
• Performs required load securement procedures on all product to secure safe transit.
• Performs miscellaneous yard material handling and inventory functions as directed.
• Operates fork trucks to load and unload trucks and handle inventory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Driver's License, CDL License, and valid medical card as well as meeting all current DOT requirements.
