SKILLS

Knowledge on Wifi 6 / 6E, wireless encryption, DOCSIS and fiber specifications, protocols, test procedures, and debugging

Experience in Unix/Linux and networking protocols

Knowledge on video networking, IP and DOCSIS 3.0 / 3.1 & 4.0

Experience activating/maintaining CPE per the DOCSIS, PacketCable, and SNMP specifications

EDUCATION

Bs degree in electrical/electronic/computer engineering, computer science with 5 years experience with telecom products and broadband technologies

System & functional testing devices such as router/gateways

Knowledge of Wi-Fi 6 / 6E, wireless encryption (WPA2/WPA3, WPA, WEP), WPS

Knowledge of DOCSIS and fiber specifications, protocols, test procedures and debugging

Experience in Unix/Linux and networking protocols

Knowledge of video networking, IP and DOCSIS3.0, 3.1 & 4.0

Experience activating/maintaining CPE per the DOCSIS, PacketCable and SNMP specifications

Knowledge on RF / IP, Spectrum analyzer, troubleshooting tools like tcpdump, netstat, traceroute, LAN/WAN topology, network protocols TCP/IP, FTP and firewalls along with development tools, application frameworks and testing tools

Knowledge on Python, HTTP, socket, ping, snmp, database integration, web frameworks, RESTful API

OTHER

Create test plan, test strategy for new releases to the customer with different platforms

Setup and execution of Smoke, Sanity, overnight recording reliability testing

Scripts to ensure in build process. Create work estimates for new features and bug fixes for prioritization and release management. Identify the tests required and simulate using lab setup

Root cause analyses for defects found on the new release versions , setup/ script issues and fix them

Develop and maintain documentation for issues and produce reports as needed

Take meetings with customer to understand the use cases impacted of the defect
