Compensation Range: 102,500-128,100 plus sales bonus
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
Job Purpose
Develop and implement the sales/service and/or business plan and develop, structure, and manage the assigned area/unit within the overall business strategy, in order to realize commercial and business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attaining sales, service and signed contract quotas as assigned
- Identifying and profiling Accounts
- Working closely with higher-level management on contract construction and negotiation
- Working with company sales and service network to properly maintain accounts
- Exercising discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the organization
- Acting as product specialist to drive sales to increase margins
- Providing consistent messages to the field regarding product training and price negotiation
- Keeping up with competitor products and activity
- Ensuring field staff is trained on all aspects of product lines
- Attending quarterly and annual meetings regarding product performance and challenges
- Communicating with Corporate Headquarters and field locations regarding product updates, applications, product concerns, warranty issues
- Providing product reviews and handle all field calls on competitive product questions
- Keep expenses within budgetary limits
- Identify and profile potential major accounts
- Work with both sales and service to maintain all major accounts
- Complete activity reports after account visits
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 10+ years of experience in sales
- Proven sales experience
- Experience with product development
- Proficient computer skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Basic math skills
- Effective presentation skills
- Above-average reasoning and analytical skills
- Ability to translate technical specs into commercial applications
- Leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Prior work experience in the following area(s), to include but not limited to; Batteries, Back Up Power, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, and / or Data Centers.
General Job Requirements
- This position provides a vehicle allowance for business purposes. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements (Must be at least 18 years of age, must have a current and valid license for at least 12 months, no DUI's in the last 3 years, no at fault accidents in the last 2 years, cannot have 3 or more moving violations).
- Must be able and willing to do overnight travel.
