Statement of Purpose: To serve residents and customers of the café in a professional, courteous manner. To prepare and serve food items within the café.

Compensation: This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay.

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Promptly and warmly greets guests.
• Takes and serves food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service.
• Performs cashier duties using the POS system.
• Maintains/ensures cleanliness (in their designated area); removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cashiers according to established procedures. Balances cash drawer.
• Responsible for inventory and restocking of food products and supplies.
• Sets up serving line, ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded and within acceptable ranges; notifies cooks if food temperatures are not within acceptable limits.
• Delivers food and beverages promptly and professionally; maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Keeps refrigerator stocked and product rotated using the first in, first out rule.
• Stocks Grab & Go items to par levels as needed. Records refrigerator temperatures on temperature logs.
• Prepares and serves various food items in a safe, clean and efficient manner.
• Recognizes and communicates all customer service problems immediately to manager on duty.
• Promptly notifies manager of any leaks or equipment failure.
• Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) each and every day.

Qualifications:

• Must be highly customer oriented and responsive to all guests.
• Use of POS system as needed.
• Previous dining room experience preferred.
• Must have Maricopa County Food Handlers Card.
• Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
