Starting in 2023, Harbor Church will be one church in two locations. We have a thriving campus in Westminster, Colorado and are launching a second site in Arvada, Colorado through a merger with Centerpoint Church. This second location, Harbor Church Arvada, will embody the vision and culture of Harbor Church alongside live worship and in-person teaching. Position Description:

We see this position evolving through three phases during 2023. Phase One is the Launch Phase which will involve raising up and shepherding a Launch Team with the goal of opening Harbor Church Arvada by Easter 2023. Phase Two will be focused on developing relational equity while instilling the core cultural identity of Harbor Church as we continue to become one church in two locations. Phase Three turns our attention to the local community as we strategically lean into neighborhood needs and partnerships with businesses and community organizations. During each phase the Campus Pastor—in alignment with the Lead Pastor - will be the chief cheerleader and lead blocker for the staff and congregation of Harbor Church Arvada.

Anticipated Start Date: May 15, 2023

Estimated Hours: 45/week Sunday – Thursday (and the occasional Saturday)

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

The Campus Pastor needs to be an incredible shepherd of people, with a high relational IQ and a proven track record of developing teams and growing initiatives. They must also be a strong, authentic communicator capable of relating Biblical truths in meaningful, practical, and creative ways. A minimum of 5 years in a lead ministry context is preferred; as well as a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Position Responsibilities/Functions:

During Phase One the responsibilities will be to develop the Launch Team in alignment with the Lead Staff in anticipation of a hard August launch after our soft opening on Easter. This will include collaborating with the Lead Staff and Launch Team on a strategy for the spring and summer months. Phase Two will focus on continuing to develop and shepherd the Harbor Church Arvada staff and congregation while teaching live consistently. Phase Three will require the creative engagement of the neighborhood and local community through practical service opportunities and events.

Duration of employment: We would prefer at least 36 months with quarterly reviews from date of hire.
