We are currently seeking a Capture Advisor - Federal Civilian to join our team in McLean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking a Capture Executive to work as part of a collaborative team to strategize and coordinate opportunity pursuits in the Federal Civilian government sector (NOT Defense). This is a hybrid/remote position but based in the DC Area. Will meet with clients as needed and will need to be in the office in McLean, VA when necessary. The individual will report to the Vice President of Capture and will work closely with a team of sales, solution and proposal development professionals to elevate NTT DATA's brand and solutions above the competition to win new business or retain incumbent business. Responsibilities include:
  • Individuals have a deep understanding of their own subject area and a broad understanding of related subject areas.
  • They handle diverse issues and lead projects that contribute to the company's success.
  • Works closely with the BD team and Business Unit to understand the scope of the pursuit and contract in order to provide requisite analysis/information and strategic recommendations to the pursuit and account teams in support of winning
  • Customer relationship development/expansion
  • Messaging, communications and activities for optimizing win probability
  • Technical solution identification
  • Partnership/teaming relationships
  • Bids & proposals contribution
  • Focuses on a specific product line or territory.
  • Researches and analyzes client trends and market opportunities.
  • Supports more senior level Business Developers on large opportunities or new product launches.
  • Gains "insider status" to influence the client's buying process primarily targeted at the senior leadership level.
  • Limited coaching/mentoring required.
    • Evaluates competitive positioning and provides feedback to NTT DATA

Market/Scope
  • US Federal Government; Civilian, State & Local
  • Assess and quantify risk for mid-sized projects and programs.
  • Make decisions on teaming and program staffing resource planning.
  • Frequently represents the organization to other businesses within the company and to external customers/clients.
  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Good presentation skills and client service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of NTT DATA products and services.
  • Knowledge of breadth of offerings.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills.
  • Experience analyzing market data and determining appropriate marketing/sales strategies.

  • Acts as an Advisor.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Leadership skills in directing pursuit and/or delivery teams.
  • Highly developed consultative approach, solution selling and business development skills.
  • Business and customer-oriented team player with ability to form alliances across organizational boundaries.
  • Proven program management skills.
  • Ability to cope with very high peak workloads, occasional travel, short deadlines and significant pressure

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of Federal or SLED Capture Management, with 8+ years total experience in Federal Health & Civilian
  • Basic understanding of how to build a team, develop a win strategy, support PTW, support tech strategy development, and deliver differentiated bids that are technically outstanding (5+ years experience)
  • 3+ years of experience leading matrixed resources in distributed geographies and time zones - including capture team, business development, pricing, marketing, solutions architects, delivery staff, etc.
