ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This position reports to the Executive Director of Admissions and serves as a key member of the recruitment and enrollment team. The individual represents the institution and is responsible for building positive, professional relationships with prospective students with a goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, diverse student body. This team member will meet regularly with prospective/admitted Green Bay Area Public High School students and their supporters and is expected to effectively communicate the benefits of a UW-Green Bay experience. This individual will plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and execute the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the institution's strategic goals. The Career Coach will be embedded at Preble and Southwest High Schools meeting with prospective students, their parents, and high school staff. Extensive travel in Brown County is expected throughout the year, especially during the fall and spring recruitment seasons.
This position requires excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Accuracy, attention to detail, followthrough, and reliability are extremely important in this position
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Counsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities.
- Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures.
- Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the Institution.
- Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals.
- Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
- Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.
- Engages in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective students.
- Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to effectively recruit students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree at time of application
Demonstrated ability to build meaningful, quality relationships
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills and comfortability with public speaking
Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one
Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, database) and the Internet
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in speaking and reading in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida
- Experience with software systems such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Image Now that support Admissions processes
- Skillled communicator (oral and written), with success in developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships and providing exceptional customer service
- Organization and attention to detail, with an ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines
- Ability and interest in working effectively with a team environment

SPECIAL NOTES:
Extensive travel in Brown County is expected throughout the year, especially during the fall and spring recruitment seasons. Occasional travel to WI High Schools, fairs and other institutions will be necessary; a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend advising hours will be required to meet the needs of the program and its students.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. This position may have the option to work on-campus or a hybrid schedule subject to approved telecommuting request. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). SALARY INFORMATION
Minimum salary of $44,000.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
BENEFIT DETAILS
UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. This includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.
In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
