Job Description:
Air General, a national cargo handling company, is hiring individuals to work as full time Warehouse Agents for our Denver International Airport (DEN) operation. This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering and sliding packages that typically weigh 20 - 55 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs . Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be willing to work shift hours that can include nights, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Must be able to pass background checks, drug screening, and be able to obtain an airport ID. - Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform entry level warehouse and dock-related tasks
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Shipping and receiving, moving, handling and tracking packages
- Operate a forklift, tug and pallet jack
- Load/unload air cargo from/to vehicles/trucks
- Clean up and sweep warehouse, dispose garbage
- Maintain safe operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow Hazmat and Security Requirements and Regulations
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience
- Must possess a valid Drivers License
- Must be able to obtain valid airport I.D. badge.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including nights, and occasionally on weekends, and holidays.
