We are looking for energetic assistant preschool teachers that are excited to help children grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. We offer a supportive environment for you to grow professionally and personally. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. A current CDA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but experience with children and a willingness to obtain a CDA at employer expense would be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Teacher with creating and implementing lesson plans based on the curriculum requirements and Indiana Early Learning Standards
- Assist Lead Teacher with designing an inviting, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Maintain open lines of communication with co-workers and parents
- Follow a daily schedule
- Assist Lead Teacher with maintaining observation information on children to assess their needs educationally and socially
- Teach and model Christian values, morals, stories, principals and traditions
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
