Duties

  • Greets guests as they enter the restaurant, cafe, dining room, etc. and check for authorized identification. Escorts guests to table and provides menus.
  • May make suggestions on menu items, answer questions and advises wait-help of any special request. Answers phone for guest request for take out orders or other information.
  • Package the takeout orders and accept payment for the order. Performs cashier duties by receiving monies due, issuing change and receipts, and completing related cash control forms.
  • Incumbent may use personal computers or terminals to perform routine standardized tasks.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Shifts may include working, morning, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, with an outcome of a favorable suitability determination, to include a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Pre-employment physical is required. Must be able to lift and carry weights weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at a level to complete required tasks. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Additional information

As a recruitment incentive, we are offering a $500 sign on bonus, and $1500 retention incentive.

**Note: A one-time signing bonus of $500 will be initiated upon the first full pay period and is for new employees only. A $500 retention incentive will be paid in one lump-sum payment after the first six months of continued employment and a $1,000 retention incentive will be paid in one lump-sum payment after the first twelve months of continued employment with DFMWR. To qualify for the retention incentives, the staff member must not have had any LMER actions during that time or currently pending.
