Downtown Ace Hardware is a locally-owned family-run business. We have been in Downtown Fort Collins since 1990. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service, our product knowledge, and our wide range of products.
We are seeking long-term full- and part-time applicants.

The Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise.
Essential duties & responsibilities include:
Customer Service
High School graduate or GED preferred. Current students are also encouraged to apply.
Previous cashiering or customer service experience is beneficial.
Physical demands may include standing for long periods, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and occasional climbing of stairs & ladders.

Customer Service
- Project a positive representation of Downtown Ace Hardware.
- Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible.
- Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
- Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
- Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
- Continually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location.
- Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.
- Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
- Responsible for balancing cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Participate in monthly store and Cashier meetings.
- Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times.
- Assist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced.
- Ensure forms and supplies are stocked.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
