Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related profession. Five (5) years of clinical practice experience or experience in a health-related profession. Three (3) years of experience developing and/or implementing IPE projects

Master’s Degree in a health-related profession.
Brief Description:
The Director of the Center for Interprofessional Innovation (CIPI) oversees Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP) activities across the Health Sciences Center (HSC), which includes the schools of Dental Medicine, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing and Social Welfare, as well as the Program in Public Health, HSC Library, and Clinical Skills Center. Reporting to the Health Sciences Academic Support unit, the CIPI Director collaborates with HSC School leaders and academic unit heads to establish strategy, guide policy and curriculum development, advance infrastructure, develop internal and community partnerships, and promote IPEP research
Establish strategy and provide leadership developing and implementing innovative IPEP initiatives across HSC Schools and the local community, including:
- Modules and IPEP curriculum and learning experiences for all levels of learners
- Clinical practice opportunities (e.g., teaching clinics, Clinical Skills Center activities)
- Academic pedagogy and educational technology
- Assessment procedures for IPEP program evaluation and planning
- Faculty and staff professional development opportunities
- Research initiatives and programming, including grant opportunities, workshops, and an IPEP research symposium
- Community and international outreach
- A repository of ongoing IPEP activities
Build, manage, and support CIPI operations and administration, including:
- Lead CIPI strategic planning and inform HSC/SBM strategic planning with IPEP principles
- Develop, manage, and maintain the CIPI budget
- Support the development and execution of MOUs and other agreements and partnerships within and beyond the university
- Schedule and develop agendas, maintain records of CIPI meetings
- Submit regular reports on CIPI/IPEP activities
Collaborate with deans, program chairs/directors and faculty to ensure the quality, appropriateness, and participation of IPEP activities:
- Support academic programs’ accreditation processes as related to IPEP standards
- Recruit and mentor IPEP student champions in each School/College
- Create a collaborative academic environment that respects, includes, and enhances the diversity of thought, approach, and inclusion
- Facilitate assessment and reporting of IPEP learning outcomes and opportunities in clinical and non-clinical settings
- Develop and implement research tools for program and curriculum dissemination
Collaborate with deans, program chairs/directors and faculty to ensure the quality, appropriateness, and participation of IPEP activities:
- Support academic programs’ accreditation processes as related to IPEP standards
- Recruit and mentor IPEP student champions in each School/College

Explore, develop, and pursue external funding and advancement opportunities; collaborate with SBM and university stakeholders to facilitate the pursuit of external funding.
Represent SBM in professional IPEP organizations; attend internal and external events.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,026 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
