About Us:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Certified Medical Assistant for PAA, part of Atlantic Medical Group.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Certified Medical Assistant Patient Preparation and Greeting Review schedule in EPIC.
- Prior to patient arrival, review chart to assure that all test results are available for physician review.
- Monitor EPIC for patient arrival. Maintaining patient confidentiality, greet all patients by introducing yourself and explaining your role in their visit.
- Verify correct patient by asking their full name and date of birth, again maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to manage time independently, showing flexibility in being able to assist coworkers as needed. Efficiently manage the patient flow to
- Communicating Patient Test Results. After physician has documented their review of test results, contact patient with physician recommendations.
- Review results with patient answering all patient questions. Speak to patient professionally and courteously. Forward all patient concerns to the attention of the physician for follow up with patient. Document telephone call in EPIC.
All other duties as assigned.
Education:

High School Diploma required for CMA
Qualifications/Requirements:

MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required

Two years medical office experience preferred

EMR experience desired

Strong computer skills and front-line customer service skills essential

Ability travel to different practices in the Chilton and Morristown Medical Center areas

Ability to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate practice hours

Position may require working one evening shift per week and/or one weekend shift per month
