Do I want this job? This Certified Coder is responsible for providing experienced coder skills in the clinical community. You will rad provider notes and dictations to select the appropriate codes using appropriate guidelines. You are an experienced communicator and are an outstanding point of contact for other Coders on your team. You will like to research codes and educate physicians and clinical staff using established compliance plans. You are an excellent communicator that can have conversations with patients, staff, and providers in person, remotely and on the phone. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious will all around us. You will have the opportunity to transfer fully remote following the completion of training on site at the West Des Moines Clinic. This job salary is based on certification and experience in Orthopedics (Expected $22 - $27 an hour).

Can I do this job? You have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree (or equal education) with job related clinical coding experience or extensive experience in orthopedic coding. You are a certified coder. You demonstrate the ability to be kind and curious, learn and train from peers and leaders, provide, apply and accept feedback in a professional and courteous manner. You understand the overall revenue processes, Red Flag Rules/HIPAA compliance; billing experience is a plus. If you have a degree in healthcare administration and want to apply your knowledge of coding, this may be a good fit. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic.
