With over 45 years of experience practicing in Bend and we are a different breed of accounting firm. We specialize in tax services for high-net-worth individuals and their related businesses, agriculture, professional services, real estate, manufacturing, trusts and estates without the corporate environment (yuck!). We enjoy all of the benefits of a family business without all the family drama. We have fun at work! Because our clients come from many different industries, projects are always interesting and never a dull moment! One of our main goals is to meet each of our client’s unique needs in planning for the present and future. We want our clients to focus on running their businesses, and we worry about the taxes.

Despite the fairly fast paced environment in the office, we do enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer. On our days off you can the team attending college football games, bike riding, fishing, paddle boarding, riding horses, golfing, or hiking are just some of the hobbies we enjoy! The best part is our office is closed all day on Fridays 4/15 – 12/31 and the Managing Partner trusts that you will manage your work flow.

Things we will trust you with around here (responsibilities):

· Assisting the team with projects throughout the year when need be (remember we are a team environment)

· Organizing source documents for the workpaper file for tax preparation and preparing the tax returns

· Working with the team or Managing Partner on bookkeeping clients as needed

· Assisting the Operations Manager and/or Client Service Coordinator when necessary, such as answering phone calls/scheduling meetings (as needed – we are a team so we fill in when need be), responding to emails, filing and copying tax papers (we are mostly paperless but some clients still want paper) – wearing lots of hats!

· Want the flexibility? We can discuss what that looks like for you! Are you in school or studying for your CPA exam? We can work with that as well! Not interested in the CPA path but interested in taxes, please send us your resume! CPA license not a requirement.

Things you tell others about yourself (qualifications):

· Team player but able to work independently

· Be adaptable, flexible and open to change

· Sense of humor (cannot stress this enough!!!)

· Experience with tax preparation or other financial background (bank, mortgage loans, public or industry)

· Mastery of basic math (Numbers and using them are kind of important)

· Attention to detail and accuracy – caring about the work product you put out

· Confidentiality (We can’t say enough about discretion in this business and with our high-net-worth clients)

· Current CPA license not required – if you are working towards that goal please apply!! The team is willing to train and work with you to build up your skills to help you attain your goals regardless if the CPA path or other!

· Advancement in your career available depending on what you are wanting – we can only assist if you communicate with us
