Qualifications:

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Must successfully pass a nationally accredited central service exam.

Must hold either a certified registered central service technician credential or a certified sterile processing and distribution technician credential.

Central service technicians, specifically, must annually complete 10 hours of continuing education

Technicians will have 18 months from date of hire to comply with the certification requirements.

Responsibilities:

There are 7 available operating rooms within the operating suite. The following specialties perform Surgery at Phoenixville Hospital: General, Plastic/Reconstructive, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular/Endovascular, ENT, Orthopedic, Cardio-Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Uro-gynecology, Gynecologic Surgical Oncology, Robotics.

To fulfill various ancillary functions such as the processing of used surgical instrumentation, assembling and wrapping packs, restocking storage areas and relieving other aides. Receive and dispense supplies and equipment. Perform cleaning, assembling, preparation and sterilizing duties in Central Sterile Processing as directed.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
