Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Change Management Manager to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD .

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Change Management team in order to streamline activities on the program.
  • Work with the team to initiate and implement Change Management process improvement activities.
  • Be responsible for analyzing, developing, deploying, and optimizing processes and procedures to meet performance goals.
  • Manage the implementation of the necessary tools to support process implementation and work product development.
  • Work with the team to develop metrics and evaluate performance criteria to ensure compliance with program standards. The team will identify metrics to be collected and ensure that measurement data is up to date and reported accurately.
  • Interface with both government and contractor personnel to accomplish these objectives.
  • Work with the team to analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to define efficient processes that incorporate industry “best practices” and standards to improve efficiency and better meet customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain process-related artifacts.
  • Benchmark internal and external “best practices” and incorporate them into processes and procedures enterprise-wide.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on process design, ITIL & Agile compliance, quality, productivity, risk management and sustainability.
  • Support auditors in performing process assessments and impact analyses.
  • Reduce program risk by identifying and measuring key performance indicators for project success.
  • Lead efforts for measurement and analysis and quantitative project management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years ITIL Change & Configuration Management experience and familiarity with Agile processes as related to change management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience deploying and institutionalizing industry standard processes.
  • Proficiency with BMC Remedy ITSM
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, with experience working with Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management, ideally in a regulated environment
  • Technical Project/Program Management experience, IT Operations or Technical Support experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead and manage collaborative matrix teams are required.
  • Program Management skills to ask common sense questions regarding who, what, when and why and the ability to evaluate the trustworthiness of the answers and drill down where necessary
  • Good judgment to evaluate risk and issues on technical projects even where you don’t understand the technical details.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and be decisive under pressure
  • An understanding of how to tailor the process to particular circumstances. That is, understand when a lighter weight process can be used and when the downside risk demands a more comprehensive risk/benefit evaluation is needed.
  • Calm, methodical, proactive, with great attention to detail.
  • Strong facilitation, teamwork, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to train users in the process and coach people in best practice.
  • Ability to translate technology into terms a business customer or internal executives can understand.
  • Customer focused, passionate about the customer experience.
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently with minimum direction.
  • A broad understanding of technology and software applications.
  • This position supports an IT operations environment. The successful candidate should expect to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V4 certification
  • Agile SAFe Agilist certification

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to type
