Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Chemical Manufacturing Operator, sets up and operates departmental equipment to perform bulk material processing for the department Product line. Operators will also be introduced to standard chemical preparations and perform reactions in drying/kiln type furnace operations according to production orders.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Performs all operational steps for powdered starting material, including blending, milling, concentrating off Isopropyl alcohol (IPA), vacuum drying and calcination.

Completes blend calculations.Sets up and runs mills and monitors process.Performs Particle Size Distribution analysis on milled material.Partners with Technology & Innovation and Engineering on development of the departmental Process.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma / GED equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year experience in an industrial setting
• Experience with measuring/weighing materials
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products/ERP equivalent

This position is to support new plant operations at 12255 W Carmen Ave. For the first several months of training, the incumbent will work at 407 N 13th St., before transitioning to the new building.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
