Mid-Fairfield Community Care Center (MFCCC), a non-profit children's mental health agency based in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a Licensed therapist for their outpatient mental health clinic. The position requires an associate or fully licensed Masters Level clinician/therapist (LMSW, LCSW, LMFT-A or LMFT, LPC-A or LPC) with experience providing therapy for children, adolescents and adults. Ability to provide therapy in Spanish or Creole is not required but highly valued. The position in the agencies outpatient program provides excellent training and collaboration opportunities for staff to learn and hone their clinical skills under the training and supervision of highly skilled clinicians. Mid-Fairfield provides mental health diagnostic assessments and treatment services including individual, family, group therapy, and parent guidance. The outpatient program provides trauma informed treatment, cognitive, relational, family, behavioral, and play therapy interventions to children/adolescents and families. Mid-Fairfield also has a comprehensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program (DBT). Supervision hours toward full licensure provided and Continuing Education and Evidence Based Training (i.e. TF-CBT, MATCH, Bounce Back, CBITS, DBT) offered.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing therapy for case load made up of children, adolescents and adults
  • Provide supervision to staff working toward CT State Licensure if applicable
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk assessments of clients and generate clinical formulations that inform the individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain all necessary electronic health records and scheduling requirements
  • Attend psychiatric evaluation and medication management appointments with psychiatry team as needed
  • Participate in Staff Meetings, Case presentations, Community meetings, In-Service Training Activities, and Workshops identified by the Mid-Fairfield as conducive to continued growth and skill development.
  • Collaborate with outside providers including but not limited to referrals sources, educational providers, and other community partners
  • Participate in after hours on-call (telephone consult only) rotation at a rate of approximately one time every 6-8 weeks for additional compensation.
  • Attend psychiatric evaluation and medication management appointments with psychiatry team for clients on caseload.
  • Ensure proper and timely completion of all required clinical documentation for supervisee's and own caseload.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited school of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology Program
  • Must have CT State license or Associate License in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience working with children and families and risk and crisis assessment skills
  • Experience providing, individual, family, and/or group therapy; Ability to provide assessments and therapy in Spanish/English highly valued.
  • Experience and competence working with individuals and families from culturally diverse backgrounds required (EOE).
  • Computer skills, including MS Office; familiarity with electronic health record systems a plus.
  • Ability to travel within the community

Schedule

Position is a full time, 40 hour position, Monday through Friday. Schedule is flexible but typically involves 2 days working 12:30-8:30 and 3 days 9-5:00 or 10-6:00.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range $50,000-70,000+ based on credentials, experience and skills. Additional compensation offered based on exceeding client quotas and for on-call rotation.
