Job Summary

Serve as a support to Injury Management by completing administrative tasks and coordinating activities such as answering telephones, taking messages, monitoring the enterprise email inbox, and answering routine claims questions. In addition, organize routine correspondence from the adjuster and outside legal counsel and provide needed claims information, submit monthly billing, and generate monthly reports. May maintain master copies of company policy and departmental procedure manuals, keeping them up-to-date. Obtain initial claims information to set up and process a Workers Compensation claim in a timely manner. Manage all correspondence. Document all claim interaction in departmental database software per expected workflow. Must possess strong verbal and written skills geared toward communicating by phone, in writing, and in person. Must project a positive and professional image. Must be able to interact compassionately with employees, departments, and adjuster on a one-on-one basis and anticipate their needs through careful listening and patience. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks under constant pressure. Must be able to use Microsoft Office. Must possess awareness of when and how to access additional resources to meet needs of employees, departments and adjuster.

Responsible to triage inbound and outbound calls, process injuries and claims, complete data entry, and assign claims to appropriate team members. Support department programs and operations. Process premium billing statements. Assist in generating and submitting annual OSHA logs and BLS data. Work with Patient Financial Services to correct billing concerns. Review corporate Work Comp Cost Center to ensure accuracy. Generate monthly/quarterly injury data reports for regions to present at Safety Council. Submit bi-weekly payroll reports for accurate claimant reimbursement. Obtain and disseminate HR information to adjuster and outside counsel. Obtain and track current work status regarding transitional duty and coordinating Return-to-Work per our policy. Complete First Report of Injury and submit to third party administrator. Assist with updating internal protocols and enterprise policies.

Travel is a requirement for this position. Travel may be required for meetings with team members, third party administrators, or brokers, claim reviews, trainings, and other commitments.

Qualifications

Associate degree required. Bachelor s degree preferred.

Three years in claims processing or similar environment required.
