Team:
As a Cleanroom Technician, you will be in the forefront of creating a world class orbital launch site. In order to be successful in this role. Ideally, you are someone who has come from a fast paced, aerospace environment, having completed difficult projects while collaborating effectively across various groups. The ability to perform work at the highest quality with minimal direction across all common cleanroom techniques is key.
What you’ll do:
On a day to day, your role will be to support launch complex tubing, piping, and components gross and precision cleaning for LN2, GN2, GHe, LNG, GH2, and LOX systems in support of launch operations.
- Responsibilities: Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods
- Use direct measurement methods and titration to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems
- Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods
- Package hardware and supplies for storage or shipment
- Perform shop level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as but limited to pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales
- Maintain general housekeeping of Cleanroom areas
- Follow safety and environmental regulations and the proper use of personal protective equipment
- You will also be responsible for providing feedback and communication with the pad technical and engineering team to prevent issues and help improve the pad systems
What you need to know:
- Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues
- Must possess a strong work ethic, prove ability to follow direction, and meet expectations
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights as needed
- Must be able to lift 40-lbs
Nice to haves but not required:
- Prior experience inspecting aerospace mechanical components and fluid systems
- Experience operating pressure systems
- Experience with general facility maintenance
- Experience as a technician, mechanic, or carpenter a plus
- OSHA 10-hr or 30-hr training
