Client Advocate Job Description

The Client Advocate assists in the daily operations of the Center, working with clients and volunteers, and supporting the Center Manager and Executive Director, as needed.
This is a part-time position. Some weekend work is required.
Qualifications
- Exhibit commitment and dedication to the pro-life position held by Women’s Help Center
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess ability to direct and take command of counseling sessions, remaining focused and able to handle crisis situations, if presented
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge and competence working with computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake and counseling sessions
- If applicable, perform non-diagnostic life-affirming ultrasounds on clients who meet the WHC ultrasound criteria
- Assess client needs and make referrals, if appropriate
- Manage client database, ensuring security and confidentiality of data
- Handle phone and in-person client inquiries
- Work on special projects, as needed
- Assist in performance of any and all duties requested by Center Manager and/or Executive Director
Daily Responsibilities:
- Be prepared to handle reception duties whenever volunteer(s) are absent
- Counsel clients, based on their individual needs
- Maintain Client Database: entering client information and making sure volunteers are correctly entering client data
- Work with volunteers as needed, making sure they are up-to-speed on center procedures
