Client Service Associate (Red Bank) Job at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.
We are searching for an Associate at our Red Bank, New Jersey office. This position supports the business of successful wealth management advisors while providing impeccable client service. This ideal candidate has superior interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, along with the ability to smoothly transition from independent to team work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for daily office activity including maintenance of all records and files, daily bank deposits (in-house), check requests and wires
- Communicate directly with clients in a prompt, friendly and professional manner; answer phones/reply to emails and service client requests
- Prepare documents for new accounts and other client activity
- Support order entry once licensed
- Provide operational support including all trade-related activity as well as reconciling trade discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and impeccable files and records
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- College graduate, business degree preferred; or commensurate work experience
- Series 7 and 63/65 (or 66) or ability to attain within 6 months of hire
- Experience working as a sales assistant preferred but would consider relevant experience
- Proficiency with technology including Docusign and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ability to quickly learn internal software programs
- Team player with an energetic, positive disposition
- Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Demonstrate strong accuracy and thoroughness in all facets of daily work and possess superb organizational skills
- Able to interface and communicate well with coworkers and clients in a highly professional, timely and friendly manner
- Able to meet designated deadlines and work effectively in at times pressurized situations
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks to completion with little supervision
