Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Clinical Laboratory Technician will work under the supervision of laboratory technologists and pathologists to ensure accurate and timely test results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, including sample preparation, analysis, and result interpretation.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Calibrate and validate laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
• Record and analyze test results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and testing processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with laboratory technologists and pathologists to ensure quality and accuracy of test results.
• Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
