CNC Lathe/Swiss Programmer (FT) Job at Creed Monarch Inc.

Creed Monarch is seeking a full time CNC Programmer who will be responsible for programming and assisting with job startup on a variety of multi-axis CNC lathes, mainly swiss style. This requires understanding and interpreting part drawings and 3D models, tooling selection, machine layout, programming, and ultimately optimizing production processes. This candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Communication skills and ability to provide technical support to various employees and technicians is required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a production manufacturing setting as a CNC operator or setup technician.
- 2+ years of CNC lathe programming required.
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
- Reading and interpreting part drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T.
- Knowledge and experience with 3D modeling and CAD / CAM software required (Solidworks, NX, Partmaker).
- Familiarity with measuring tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Gages, etc.).
Responsibilities to include:
- Program multi-axis Swiss style lathes (Tsugami, Star, Hanwha).
- Evaluate new parts - determine feasibility and provide cycle time estimates.
- Specify tooling requirements for new jobs.
- Assist with job startup and troubleshooting production issues.
- Review, adjust, and optimize CNC programs of existing jobs.
- Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production to develop work instructions and control plans.
Hourly rate will vary as it is based on experience.
