Job Description:
Location: Naugatuck, Connecticut
CoWorx Staffing is seeking an experience CNC Machine Operator for a local Manufacturing Company within the Greater Waterbury, CT area.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Directs the activities of machine tenders when required.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, setup cards, sketches and related technical data to determine setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.
- Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed feed and coolant flow.
- Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions, changes cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence and measures parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or nonconforming machining.
- Operates the machine manually to perform non-automated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
- Files, sands and shapes machined parts as needed.
- Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
- Discusses nonstandard inspection methods with the Quality Technician.
