Aerotek is seeking an intermediate to skilled professional CNC Machinist. This position caters mostly to Lathes, but will encompass a variety of skillsets/training. The work week is 4-days (Mon-Thurs) and OT may be available. Ideally open every 1st Friday of the month to stay in line with production needs. Pay varies with 60K+ base salary. A relocation fee may be available for the right candidate. Those who are looking to relocate the the Medford/Grant's Pass area should apply.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, operates CNC lathes and mills to fabricate close tolerance aerospace parts.
• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery.
• Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
• Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Ability to update offsets and establish part origins.
• Knowledge of how to use common inspection tools like Calipers, Micrometers, Thread Gages, Pin Gages.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
